From folding fans to jade pendants, traditional Chinese accessories are more than decoration — they carry cultural meaning and social identity.

折扇与团扇 | Folding Fans and Round Fans

折扇 — 文人标配。展开时扇面可题诗作画，折起来插在腰间。苏州的檀香折扇最有名，30-500元不等。在苏州博物馆和园林纪念品店能买到。

Folding fans were the scholar's essential accessory. When open, the surface could be painted or inscribed with poetry; when folded, it was tucked into the sash. Suzhou's sandalwood folding fans are most famous, ¥30-500. Available at Suzhou Museum and garden souvenir shops.

团扇 — 圆形绢面扇，唐代仕女画中常见。现在是汉服拍照的必备道具。手绣团扇是很好的纪念品。

Round silk fans are common in Tang Dynasty lady paintings. Now they're essential props for Hanfu photography. Hand-embroidered round fans make lovely souvenirs.

玉器 | Jade

中国人佩戴玉器已有七千年历史。"君子比德于玉"——玉象征品德高洁。常见款式：玉镯（女性最爱）、玉佩（男女皆可）、玉扣（平安扣取"平安"之意）。

Chinese people have worn jade for 7,000 years. "A gentleman compares his virtue to jade" — jade symbolizes moral purity. Common styles: jade bangles (women's favorite), jade pendants (unisex), and jade safety buckles ("ping'an kou," meaning "peace").

选购提醒 — 翡翠（缅甸玉）最昂贵，和田玉（白玉/碧玉）是国玉。云南瑞丽和新疆和田是原产地。景区的"玉器"多为玻璃仿品，建议去有鉴定证书的正规店购买。

Buying tips — jadeite (Burmese jade) is most expensive; Hetian jade (white/green nephrite) is China's "national jade." Yunnan's Ruili and Xinjiang's Hetian are origins. "Jade" at scenic spots is mostly glass imitation — buy from certified shops.

• 发簪 | 木簪、银簪、玉簪，汉服搭配必备。Hair pins — wooden, silver, or jade; essential for Hanfu styling.

小贴士 | Tips: 买玉一定要索取鉴定证书（CMA/CAL认证）。没有证书的"和田玉"大概率是石英岩。 Always ask for a certification (CMA/CAL certified) when buying jade. "Hetian jade" without certificates is most likely quartzite.
