你是不是每年五一都在纠结：去吧，到处是人；不去吧，假期浪费了。

Every May Day, you're probably stuck in the same dilemma: go somewhere and face the crowds, or stay home and waste the holiday.

我跟你说个数据：2024年五一假期，全国出游人次2.95亿。故宫、西湖、外滩——这些地方你去了也只能看到后脑勺。但中国这么大，总有一些地方，风景不输网红景点，人却只有十分之一。

Here's a number for you: during the 2024 May Day holiday, 295 million trips were taken across China. The Forbidden City, West Lake, the Bund — go there and all you'll see is the back of someone's head. But China is vast, and there are always places where the scenery rivals any influencer hotspot with a tenth of the crowd.

这篇不是旅行社广告，是我和朋友们这几年五一实测过的地方。每一个都亲自踩过，踩过坑的我也会告诉你。

This isn't a travel agency ad. These are places my friends and I have actually tested over the past few May Day holidays. Every one personally visited — and I'll tell you about the pitfalls too.

1. 平潭岛：追一场蓝眼泪 / Pingtan Island: Chasing Blue Tears

坐标：福建福州，跨海大桥直达

Location: Fuzhou, Fujian — drive straight across the cross-sea bridge

你听说过"蓝眼泪"吗？每年4到6月，平潭岛的海滩上会出现大片荧光蓝——那是夜光藻受海浪刺激后发出的光。赤脚踩进去，每一步都踏出一圈蓝色的光晕。五一正好是高发期。

Have you heard of "Blue Tears"? Every April to June, Pingtan Island's beaches glow with vast stretches of fluorescent blue — bioluminescent algae triggered by waves. Walk barefoot into it, and every step creates a halo of blue light. May Day falls right in peak season.

2024年蓝眼泪上了好几次热搜，但平潭的游客量还是远不如厦门鼓浪屿。岛上的石头厝（用石头砌成的传统民居）也值得逛，北港文创村有不少有意思的独立咖啡馆和手作店。

Blue Tears trended multiple times on Weibo in 2024, but Pingtan's visitor numbers are still far below Xiamen's Gulangyu. The island's stone houses (traditional dwellings built from local stone) are worth exploring too, and Beigang Creative Village has interesting independent cafés and craft shops.

踩坑提醒：蓝眼泪不是每天都有，受水温、风向、潮汐影响。去之前关注"平潭蓝眼泪预报"小程序，别白跑一趟。

Pitfall alert: Blue Tears don't appear every night — they depend on water temperature, wind, and tides. Check the "Pingtan Blue Tears Forecast" mini-program before going, so you don't make a wasted trip.

2. 靖西：广西藏着的"小桂林" / Jingxi: Guangxi's Hidden "Little Guilin"

坐标：广西百色市，南宁出发3.5小时

Location: Baise, Guangxi — 3.5 hours from Nanning

桂林山水甲天下，但桂林五一的人也甲天下。靖西有同款喀斯特地貌，却安静得像是被世界遗忘了。

Guilin's landscapes are the finest under heaven — but Guilin's May Day crowds are also the finest under heaven. Jingxi has the same karst scenery, yet it's so quiet it feels forgotten by the world.

鹅泉是中国最美泉水之一，泉水从地下涌出，清澈见底，周围是翠绿的稻田和黑色的喀斯特山峰。通灵大峡谷有落差188米的瀑布，走在峡谷底部抬头看，天只剩一条缝。旧州古镇的绣球街上，壮族阿婆坐在门口手工缝绣球，一针一线，跟几百年前一模一样。

Eqüan Spring is one of China's most beautiful springs — water surging from underground, crystal clear to the bottom, surrounded by emerald rice paddies and black karst peaks. Tongling Grand Canyon has a 188-meter waterfall; walking along the canyon floor and looking up, the sky narrows to a slit. On Embroidered Ball Street in Old Jiuzhou Town, Zhuang grandmothers sit at their doorsteps hand-stitching embroidered balls, stitch by stitch, exactly as they did centuries ago.

3. 荔波：地球腰带上的绿宝石 / Libo: The Emerald on Earth's Belt

坐标：贵州黔南州，贵阳高铁2.5小时

Location: Qiannan, Guizhou — 2.5 hours by high-speed rail from Guiyang

荔波小七孔的水，绿得不像真的。六十八级跌水瀑布一层叠一层，卧龙潭的水蓝绿交融，像是上帝打翻了调色盘。这里是世界自然遗产，但因为交通不算方便，五一的人流量远不如张家界。

The water at Libo's Small Seven Holes is so green it doesn't look real. Sixty-eight cascading waterfalls layer upon layer, Wolong Pool's water blends blue and green as if God spilled a palette. It's a World Natural Heritage site, but because transportation isn't the most convenient, May Day crowds are far lighter than Zhangjiajie.

大七孔的天生桥气势磅礴，茂兰喀斯特原始森林里可以徒步探险，运气好还能碰到瑶族村寨的篝火晚会。

The natural bridge at Big Seven Holes is magnificent, and you can hike through the Maolan Karst Primeval Forest — with luck, you might stumble upon a Yao village bonfire gathering.

踩坑提醒：小七孔景区内必须坐景区大巴，自己走全程要6小时以上。门票130元，提前网上买。

Pitfall alert: Inside Small Seven Holes, you must take the scenic shuttle — walking the whole route takes 6+ hours. Tickets are 130 RMB; buy online in advance.

4. 泉州：半城烟火半城仙 / Quanzhou: Half City of Incense, Half City of Gods

坐标：福建泉州，福厦高铁直达

Location: Quanzhou, Fujian — direct via Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed rail

2021年泉州入选了UNESCO世界遗产，但它的游客量还是被厦门碾压。这座城市最迷人的地方，是你走三步就能碰到一座庙——开元寺的东西塔、清净寺的伊斯兰穹顶、关岳庙的香火缭绕——佛教、伊斯兰教、道教、基督教在同一条街上和平共处了一千年。

Quanzhou became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021, but its visitor numbers are still dwarfed by Xiamen. The most enchanting thing about this city is that every three steps you'll bump into a temple — Kaiyuan Temple's East and West Pagodas, Qingjing Mosque's Islamic dome, Guanyue Temple's swirling incense — Buddhism, Islam, Taoism, and Christianity coexisting peacefully on the same street for a thousand years.

蟳埔村的簪花体验是2024年社交媒体上的爆款——当地渔村妇女世代在头上戴鲜花环，你也可以体验一把，拍出来的照片比任何滤镜都好看。

The hair flower experience in Xunpu Village was a 2024 social media sensation — local fishing village women have worn fresh flower garlands in their hair for generations, and you can try it too. The photos come out better than any filter.

至于吃的——面线糊、土笋冻、烧肉粽、醋肉——泉州可能是中国被低估最严重的美食城市。

As for food — mianxianhu (noodle paste), tusuandong (sea worm jelly), shaorouzong (meat rice dumplings), curou (vinegar pork) — Quanzhou might be the most underrated food city in China.

5. 甘南：不用进藏的"西藏" / Gannan: "Tibet" Without Entering Tibet

坐标：甘肃甘南藏族自治州，兰州出发4小时

Location: Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu — 4 hours from Lanzhou

想看藏区风光但不想高反？甘南平均海拔2900米，比拉萨低了700米，大多数人不会有明显反应。

Want Tibetan scenery without altitude sickness? Gannan's average elevation is 2,900 meters — 700 meters lower than Lhasa. Most people won't have noticeable symptoms.

扎尕那是一座被石山环抱的藏族村落，2024年在抖音和小红书上火了一把，但五一还算早季，游客不多。拉卜楞寺是藏传佛教六大寺院之一，转经廊长达3.5公里，是世界上最长的。桑科草原五一刚刚返青，嫩绿的草地配上远处的雪山，干净得让人想哭。

Zhagana is a Tibetan village embraced by stone mountains — it went viral on Douyin and Xiaohongshu in 2024, but May Day is still early season with few tourists. Labrang Monastery is one of the six great Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, with a prayer wheel corridor stretching 3.5 kilometers — the longest in the world. Sangke Grassland just turns green around May Day; tender grass against distant snow-capped mountains, so pristine it could make you cry.

踩坑提醒：甘南早晚温差极大，五一白天可能20度，晚上可能零下。一定带厚外套。

Pitfall alert: Gannan has extreme temperature swings — May Day daytime might be 20°C, nighttime could drop below zero. Definitely bring a heavy jacket.

6. 柳州：为一碗粉赴一座城 / Liuzhou: Traveling to a City for a Bowl of Noodles

坐标：广西柳州，桂林高铁1小时

Location: Liuzhou, Guangxi — 1 hour by high-speed rail from Guilin

柳州是螺蛳粉的老家。在这里吃一碗正宗螺蛳粉只要8到15块钱，而且每家店的味道都不一样——有的酸辣霸道，有的鲜香温柔，有的臭得让你怀疑人生但吃完还想再来一碗。

Liuzhou is the hometown of luosifen (river snail rice noodles). A bowl of authentic luosifen here costs just 8 to 15 yuan, and every shop tastes different — some aggressively sour-spicy, some gently savory, some so stinky you question your life choices but still want another bowl when you're done.

但柳州不只有粉。百里柳江的夜景不输很多一线城市，程阳风雨桥（三江侗族自治县）是中国最美的风雨桥之一，不用一颗钉子全靠榫卯结构。四月底柳州的紫荆花可能还有余韵，整座城市被粉紫色覆盖。

But Liuzhou isn't just about noodles. The Hundred-Li Liu River night view rivals many first-tier cities, Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge (in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County) is one of China's most beautiful covered bridges — built entirely with mortise-and-tenon joints, not a single nail. Late April might still catch the tail end of bauhinia season, when the entire city is draped in pink-purple.

7. 霞浦：光影里的海上田园 / Xiapu: A Sea Farm Painted in Light

坐标：福建宁德市，福州高铁1.5小时

Location: Ningde, Fujian — 1.5 hours by high-speed rail from Fuzhou

霞浦的滩涂是摄影师的圣地。退潮之后，海滩上露出一排排紫菜架和海带养殖场，在日出或日落的光线下，整个画面像一幅抽象油画。北岐、小皓、东壁——每个滩涂的光影角度都不同，你可以追着太阳拍一整天。

Xiapu's mudflats are a photographer's holy ground. After the tide recedes, rows of seaweed racks and kelp farms emerge on the beach, and in sunrise or sunset light, the entire scene looks like an abstract oil painting. Beiqi, Xiaohao, Dongbi — each mudflat catches light from different angles, and you could chase the sun photographing all day.

五一前后正好是紫菜收获季，渔民在滩涂上劳作的身影，配上金色的光线和银色的水面，随手一拍就是大片。

Around May Day is purple laver harvest season — fishermen working on the mudflats, silhouetted against golden light and silver water. Point and shoot, and every frame is a masterpiece.

踩坑提醒：最佳拍摄点需要早起（日出前到位），而且有些滩涂观景台是当地村民收费的，5-20元不等，别觉得被宰了，人家维护观景台也不容易。

Pitfall alert: Best shooting spots require early rising (arrive before sunrise), and some mudflat viewpoints charge a fee (5-20 RMB) maintained by local villagers. Don't feel ripped off — maintaining those platforms isn't easy.

8. 腾冲：火山上泡温泉 / Tengchong: Hot Springs on a Volcano

坐标：云南保山市，昆明飞1小时

Location: Baoshan, Yunnan — 1 hour flight from Kunming

腾冲坐落在火山群上，地热资源丰富得离谱。热海景区里，大滚锅的泉水温度高达97度，你可以在旁边买鸡蛋和花生，直接放进温泉里煮熟。泡完温泉再去和顺古镇——这个六百年历史的侨乡古镇，安静得像时间停了。

Tengchong sits atop a volcanic cluster with absurdly rich geothermal resources. At Rehai (Hot Sea) scenic area, the Great Boiling Pot reaches 97°C — you can buy eggs and peanuts nearby and cook them directly in the spring water. After soaking in hot springs, head to Heshun Ancient Town — this 600-year-old overseas Chinese hometown is so quiet time seems to have stopped.

和顺的图书馆是中国最大的乡村图书馆，建于1928年，至今仍在运营。翡翠市场也值得逛，腾冲是中国最大的翡翠集散地之一，不买也可以长长见识。

Heshun's library is China's largest village library, built in 1928 and still operating today. The jade market is worth browsing too — Tengchong is one of China's largest jade trading centers. Even if you don't buy, it's an education.

最后说两句实在话 / A Few Honest Words to Close

杜甫写"会当凌绝顶，一览众山小"。但五一出行，不一定非要去凌绝顶——有时候，山脚下那个没人知道的小村子，反而能让你看到更大的世界。

Du Fu wrote, "I shall ascend the summit and see all mountains small below." But for May Day travel, you don't have to climb the highest peak — sometimes, that unknown little village at the foot of the mountain shows you a bigger world.

提前买高铁票（开售日秒光），提前订民宿（小众目的地选择少），错峰出发（5月2号走比1号走舒服十倍）。

Book high-speed rail tickets early (they sell out instantly on release day), book accommodation early (fewer options at lesser-known destinations), and travel off-peak (leaving May 2nd is ten times more comfortable than May 1st).
