中国看红叶这件事，北方靠气势，南方靠精致。北京香山是红叶的代名词，但说实话，中国比香山好看的红叶地至少有十个。

Autumn foliage in China: the north wins on grandeur, the south on refinement. Beijing's Fragrant Hills is synonymous with red leaves, but honestly, at least ten places in China outshine it.

九月就能看：最早的秋色

呼伦贝尔（内蒙古）——9月初草原已经变黄，白桦林开始变金色。额尔古纳湿地（门票65元）是看秋色的最佳点——站在山顶俯瞰，蜿蜒的河流穿过金黄的湿地和白桦林，像一幅巨大的油画。莫尔道嘎国家森林公园（门票160元）是中国面积最大的森林公园，落叶松在9月中旬变成纯金色，铺满整个山谷。

Hulunbuir (Inner Mongolia) — By early September the grasslands have turned yellow, birch forests going gold. Ergun Wetland (¥65) is the best autumn viewpoint — from the hilltop, a winding river cuts through golden wetlands and birch forests like a massive oil painting. Moerdaoga National Forest Park (¥160), China's largest forest park, sees its larches turn pure gold by mid-September, carpeting entire valleys.

十月：主战场

十月是中国红叶的高峰期，从北到南依次变色。

October is China's peak foliage month, coloring from north to south.

九寨沟（四川） 秋天的九寨沟是它最美的样子——海子（高山湖泊）的蓝绿色湖水倒映着红黄橙绿的树林，加上钙化瀑布的白色水帘，颜色多到不真实。五花海是精华中的精华，从老虎嘴俯瞰，湖面像打翻了颜料盘。门票169元+观光车90元，10月需要提前网上预约。

Jiuzhaigou (Sichuan) — Autumn Jiuzhaigou is its most beautiful self. The haizi (alpine lakes) reflect red-yellow-orange-green forests in blue-green water, plus white curtains of travertine waterfalls — colors so rich they look unreal. Five Flower Lake is the essence of the essence; from Tiger's Mouth viewpoint, the lake surface looks like a spilled paint palette. Ticket ¥169 + shuttle ¥90; October requires advance online booking.

栖霞山（南京） 被称为"金陵第一明秀山"，是南京人看红叶的首选。枫叶品种多（红枫、鸡爪槭、三角枫等），颜色层次丰富。桃花湖边的枫林倒映在水中特别好看。门票25元，地铁可达，比香山方便太多。

Qixia Mountain (Nanjing) — Called "Jinling's Finest Mountain," it's Nanjing locals' top foliage pick. Diverse maple varieties (red maple, Japanese maple, trident maple) create rich color layers. The maple forest reflected in Taohua Lake is especially photogenic. Ticket ¥25, metro-accessible — far more convenient than Fragrant Hills.

米亚罗（四川阿坝） 中国最大的红叶观赏区，面积是香山的180倍。从理县到米亚罗的公路两侧全是红叶，不需要进景区，开车走这条路本身就是一场视觉盛宴。杂谷脑河谷的红叶最密集，10月中下旬是最佳时间。

Miyaluo (Aba, Sichuan) — China's largest foliage viewing area, 180 times the size of Fragrant Hills. Both sides of the road from Lixian to Miyaluo are covered in red leaves — no need to enter a scenic area, driving this road is itself a visual feast. Zagu'nao River valley has the densest foliage; mid-to-late October is prime time.

十一月：南方的秋天才开始

岳麓山（长沙） "停车坐爱枫林晚，霜叶红于二月花"——杜牧这首诗写的就是岳麓山（有争议，但长沙人坚持是）。爱晚亭周围的枫树在11月中旬最红，免费开放，晚上还有灯光。从岳麓书院（门票40元）走到爱晚亭，一路都是红叶。

Yuelu Mountain (Changsha) — "I stop my carriage, enchanted by the maple forest at dusk; frosted leaves redder than February flowers" — Du Mu's poem is said to describe Yuelu Mountain (debated, but Changsha locals insist). Maples around Aiwan Pavilion peak in mid-November, free entry, with evening lighting. Walking from Yuelu Academy (¥40) to Aiwan Pavilion, red leaves line the entire path.

塔川（安徽黟县） 比宏村安静十倍的小村庄，但秋色比宏村好十倍。乌桕树在11月变成红色和橙色，配上徽派建筑的白墙黑瓦和晨雾，是摄影师的天堂。门票40元。早上7点前到可以拍到最好的晨雾。

Tachuan (Yi County, Anhui) — Ten times quieter than Hongcun but ten times better autumn colors. Chinese tallow trees turn red and orange in November against Hui-style white walls and black tiles with morning mist — photographer's paradise. Ticket ¥40. Arrive before 7 AM for the best morning mist shots.

怎么判断最佳时间

红叶变色取决于温度——需要连续几天最低温度降到10度以下。关注当地气象台的"红叶指数"预报（很多景区官方微信会发），比固定日期靠谱得多。一般规律：纬度每南移1度，红叶晚约一周；海拔每升高100米，红叶早约3天。

Foliage timing depends on temperature — several consecutive days with lows below 10°C are needed. Follow local weather bureau "foliage index" forecasts (many scenic areas post on official WeChat) — far more reliable than fixed dates. General rule: each degree of latitude south delays foliage ~one week; each 100m elevation gain advances it ~3 days.
