中国是世界上少数几个文明从未中断的国家之一。从公元前2100年前后的夏朝算起，历经商、周、秦、汉、唐、宋、元、明、清，直至1912年清朝覆灭，帝制延续约四千年。每个朝代都留下了独特的文化遗产，至今仍影响着中国人的日常生活与价值观。

China is one of the few civilizations in the world that has never been interrupted. From the Xia dynasty (~2100 BCE) through Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing, until the fall of the imperial system in 1912, the dynastic cycle lasted roughly four thousand years. Each dynasty left a distinct cultural legacy that still shapes Chinese daily life and values today.
