Harbin's winter isn't just "cold" — it's "another planet." -25°C is normal, your breath instantly turns to white fog, and frost forms on your eyelashes. But this city has turned extreme cold into art.

冰雪大世界 | Ice and Snow World
全球最大的冰雪主题乐园。用松花江的冰块搭建的巨型建筑，晚上用彩色灯光照亮，就像进入了《冰雪奇缘》的真人版。
The world's largest ice and snow theme park. Giant structures built from Songhua River ice blocks, illuminated with colorful lights at night — like stepping into a real-life Frozen.
门票约300元（~$42），建议下午4点入园，先在天亮时拍照，再等天黑看灯光秀。

中央大街 | Central Street
一条铺着面包石的百年老街，两旁是俄式建筑。十二月街上铺满压实的积雪，走起来嘎吱响。沿街有很多俄式餐厅，进去喝一碗热罗宋汤暖身子。
A century-old street paved with cobblestones, flanked by Russian-style buildings. In December, compacted snow covers the road and crunches underfoot. Duck into a Russian restaurant along the way for hot borscht.

松花江上走一走 | Walk on the Songhua River
冬天松花江完全冻住，冰面变成天然游乐场——狗拉雪橇、冰上自行车、甚至在冰面上吃火锅。冰层厚度超过一米，绝对安全。
The Songhua River freezes completely in winter, and the ice surface becomes a natural playground — dog sleds, ice bicycles, even hotpot on the ice. The ice is over a meter thick — completely safe.

穿衣指南 | What to Wear:
三层穿法：贴身保暖内衣（羊毛或摇粒绒）→ 中层抓绒 → 外层防风防水羽绒服。帽子、手套、暖宝宝是必须品。手机在零下容易关机，贴个暖宝宝在手机壳上。
Three layers: thermal base layer (wool or fleece) → mid-layer fleece → outer windproof/waterproof down jacket. Hat, gloves, and hand warmers are essential. Phones die in extreme cold — stick a hand warmer on your phone case.

长白山：雪山温泉 | Changbai Mountain: Snow and Hot Springs

长白山的冬天有两个极端体验：山顶零下30度的天池雪景，和山脚下热气腾腾的露天温泉。你可以早上看冰冻的火山口湖，下午泡在温泉里看雪花飘落。

Changbai Mountain offers two extremes: the -30°C snow-covered Heavenly Lake at the summit, and steaming outdoor hot springs at the base. You can see the frozen volcanic crater lake in the morning, then soak in hot springs watching snowflakes fall in the afternoon.

提醒 | Note: 天池冬季约40%的天数被云雾遮挡，能不能看到要靠运气。建议安排至少两天。
Heavenly Lake is shrouded in clouds about 40% of winter days — seeing it requires luck. Plan at least two days.

南方：逃离寒冬 | The South: Escape the Cold

西双版纳：热带冬天 | Xishuangbanna: Tropical Winter

当北方人在雪地里裹成粽子时，西双版纳白天还有25°C。这个位于云南最南端的傣族自治州，气候跟东南亚差不多——热带雨林、大象、菠萝饭、泼水节文化。

While northerners are bundled up like dumplings in the snow, Xishuangbanna still hits 25°C during the day. This Dai autonomous prefecture at Yunnan's southern tip has a climate similar to Southeast Asia — tropical rainforests, elephants, pineapple rice, and Water Festival culture.

机票价格 | Flight Prices:
十二月上旬是淡季，机票便宜。圣诞节和元旦前后价格上涨。尽量避开12月25日-1月2日。
Early December is off-season with cheap flights. Prices rise around Christmas and New Year's. Avoid December 25 to January 2 if possible.

北方暖气 | Northern Heating:
中国北方（秦岭-淮河以北）所有建筑都有集中供暖，室内非常暖和（通常22-26°C）。南方没有集中供暖，室内可能比室外还冷——这是很多外国人不知道的"冷知识"。
All buildings in northern China (north of the Qinling-Huai River line) have central heating — interiors are very warm (usually 22-26°C). The south has no central heating, so indoors can feel colder than outdoors — a "cold fact" many foreigners don't know.

节日氛围 | Festive Atmosphere:
虽然圣诞节不是中国的传统节日，但大城市的商场和餐厅都会有圣诞装饰。真正的节日氛围要等到一月底二月初的春节。
While Christmas isn't a traditional Chinese holiday, malls and restaurants in major cities put up Christmas decorations. The real festive atmosphere comes during Chinese New Year in late January or February.
